A Learning Community for Homeschool & Alternative Education Families
At NeuroRoots, we believe every child deserves an education that honors who they are, nurtures their strengths, and prepares them for a meaningful future.
We partner with homeschool, ESA, and alternative education families by providing learning experiences that go beyond academics. Through small-group programs, executive functioning support, enrichment, transition services, educational advocacy, and real-world learning opportunities, we help children and teens build confidence, develop practical skills, and discover their unique potential.
Whether your child is just beginning their educational journey or preparing for life after high school, NeuroRoots offers supportive pathways that grow with your family.
NeuroRoots is more than a microschool.
We are a learning community where children, teens, and families find connection, encouragement, and opportunities to thrive.
Founded by Amber Stock, M.Ed., NeuroRoots was built on the belief that education should prepare students not only for tests—but for life. With more than 28 years of experience in special education, educational leadership, advocacy, and neurodivergent coaching, Amber created NeuroRoots to bridge the gap between traditional education and the practical skills students need for lifelong success.
Our programs are intentionally designed to complement—not replace—your family's educational journey.
Learn
Build strong academic foundations through hands-on, engaging learning experiences.
Connect
Develop friendships, communication skills, confidence, and a true sense of belonging.
Prepare
Strengthen executive functioning, leadership, career readiness, and independent living skills through meaningful real-world experiences.
Thrive
Grow into a confident, capable learner who is prepared for school, adulthood, and life beyond the classroom.
We believe success is about far more than grades.
Success means discovering your strengths.
Building meaningful relationships.
Learning to advocate for yourself.
Developing confidence and independence.
Contributing to your community.
Creating a future that reflects your unique goals and abilities.
Everything we do is rooted in strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming practices that celebrate individual differences while helping students develop the executive functioning, communication, leadership, and life skills they need to flourish.
Whether your family joins us for a homeschool learning community, transition services, executive functioning coaching, educational advocacy, or enrichment opportunities, our goal remains the same:
To walk alongside your family, provide meaningful support, and help every learner grow with confidence.
Because education isn't just about preparing children for school.
It's about preparing them for life.
Where Growth Begins at the Roots.

I’m a special education advocate, executive functioning specialist, and educator dedicated to helping neurodivergent children, teens, young adults, and their families navigate school, life, and the transition to adulthood with clarity and confidence.
With more than 28 years in education, including experience as a special education teacher, Special Education Director, advocate, and coach, I’ve worked alongside students, families, and school teams in a variety of settings. Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming it can feel when a child or young adult isn't receiving the support they need—or when families simply don't know what to do next.
That’s why I created NeuroRoots Education & Coaching.
Too often, families are left confused, unheard, or unsure of how to help their child move forward. IEPs are written, meetings happen, and yet progress doesn't always follow.
I built NeuroRoots to change that.
At NeuroRoots, we focus on identifying the root causes of challenges—whether they involve executive functioning, learning differences, social development, life skills, or gaps in support—and turning them into clear, meaningful, and practical next steps.
I believe support should feel empowering—not intimidating.
My role is to help families:
Whether I’m sitting beside you during an IEP meeting, coaching your child one-on-one, or supporting your family behind the scenes, my goal is the same:
To help individuals thrive and equip families with the confidence and tools they need every step of the way.
NeuroRoots is more than advocacy services.
As the founder of the NeuroRoots Microschool, I created a learning environment designed specifically for neurodivergent students who benefit from smaller class sizes, individualized support, executive functioning instruction, and a relationship-based approach to learning. Our microschool focuses on building confidence, fostering independence, and helping students rediscover a love for learning in a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming environment.
I am especially passionate about helping teens and young adults prepare for life beyond high school. Through our Transition Pathways program, we provide individualized transition services focused on executive functioning, self-advocacy, career exploration, college and vocational planning, workplace readiness, independent living skills, and building the confidence needed to navigate adulthood successfully.
My goal is not simply to help students graduate—but to help them thrive in the next chapter of their lives.
If you’ve ever felt like something isn't quite right…
If you've wondered whether your child needs more support…
If you've left meetings feeling confused or unheard…
You're not imagining it.
You know your child best.
I'm here to help you turn those concerns into a clear plan, meaningful progress, and hope for what comes next.
